Description
The mini-eTPC, found at ELI-NP, is a detector used in nuclear physics experiments. A successful experiment may yield a large volume of data that needs to be analyzed. Doing this analysis manually is time consuming, thus an automated method is necessary.
By using data science methodology and image analysis algorithms, the efficiency of the analysis can be greatly increased. The algorithms can find the equations of the traces left by particles and compute the location of the interaction points. This information can be further used to compute different statistics that can be used to understand the physical phenomenons.
