Description
The aim of this numerical study is to compare the focusing of four beams of different intensity distributions at the entrance to a lens.
The comparison is quantitative because I compared the values of the standard deviation and the full width at half maximum in focus for each distribution. This was followed by the identification of which distributions focus better in terms of the mentioned parameters, as well as the identification of the reasons why some distributions do not focus as well as others.
